What exactly am I buying?

You buy a permanent place on the Million Frame canvas: the right to display approved content in your area for as long as the artwork exists, listed under your owner name, owner number and certificate number. It is not a share, a security or an investment product.

Are purchases refundable?

Consumers in Norway and the EU/EEA have a 14-day right to cancel. Because your place on the canvas is delivered immediately, you are asked to confirm at checkout that you want it right away and accept that the 14-day right then ends. After that, purchases are final, except where a refund is required by law, where we remove your tile in error, or if the project is discontinued. A reservation that expires before payment costs nothing.

Do I have a 14-day right to cancel?

If you buy as a consumer in Norway or the EU/EEA you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase, without giving a reason. Your place on the canvas is digital content delivered immediately, so before paying you are asked to confirm two things: that you want delivery to begin at once, and that you understand the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once delivery has begun. We store the date and time you gave that confirmation with your order. If you do not want to give that confirmation, do not complete the purchase — send an email instead and we will handle your order manually so that the 14-day period is kept. Business purchases are not covered by the consumer right of withdrawal.

Question 4

What if the canvas is never filled, or the project stops?

The artwork is complete when all 1,000,000 pixels are claimed. Our target date is 31 December 2027. If the canvas is not full by then, nothing you own is taken away: your tile, owner number and certificate stay in place and the canvas stays online exactly as it is. If we ever stop running Million Frame, any purchase that has not received what it paid for is refunded.

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Every pixel costs $1, and the smallest area is 10 × 10 pixels — so the minimum purchase is $100. A 20 × 20 tile is $400, a 50 × 50 tile is $2,500 and a 100 × 100 tile is $10,000.

Can two people claim the same pixels?

Accepted Answer

No. When you select an area it is reserved for you for 20 minutes, and the system rejects any overlapping claim. Ownership is only confirmed once your payment is verified.

Question 7

What can I put on my tile?

Accepted Answer

Anything that follows our content policy: no illegal material, hate, harassment, sexual content involving minors, or content you do not have the rights to. Every upload is reviewed before it appears publicly.

Can I change my tile later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can update the image, colour, message and link from your account. Changes are reviewed again before they go live.

What happens when the canvas is full?

Accepted Answer

The completed artwork is printed. Every verified pixel owner receives a free print — a smaller, unframed edition — and pays only shipping. Owners who want the large version can upgrade to the framed, individually numbered 100 × 100 cm Final Edition. One print per verified owner, regardless of how many tiles or pixels they own.

What happens to the artwork after it is finished?

It stays online permanently in The Permanent Gallery: the complete artwork in full resolution, every tile and message, and a searchable register of every verified owner with their owner and certificate numbers. The auction of the original and the street art showings are documented there too.

Question 11

Do I really get a free print?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every verified owner receives one free print of the completed artwork. The print itself costs nothing — you only pay shipping, which is calculated and paid separately before it is sent. Shipping is not calculated yet; you will be told the exact amount before anything is sent, and you can decline at that point.

Question 12

What does the framed Final Edition cost?

The framed 100 × 100 cm, individually numbered edition is an optional upgrade with an estimated price of $599 plus shipping. It is offered to verified owners only, never to the public. Ordering opens when the artwork is complete; choosing it now is free and is not a purchase or reservation.

What happens if the canvas fills before 2028?

If all 1,000,000 pixels are claimed before 31 December 2027, two bonus chapters unlock: the original artwork is auctioned to the highest bidder with the proceeds donated to a charity voted for by pixel owners, and the finished work is painted as street art by invited artists at a location revealed later. These are commitments from Million Frame, not part of what you buy.

Is a pixel claim an investment?

Accepted Answer

No. A pixel claim is ownership participation in the artwork and includes a free print of the finished work. Million Frame does not promise resale value, financial returns or an increase in value.

Question 15

Can a company or brand buy pixels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. During checkout you can switch on “Buying as a business?” and add your company legal name, billing address, registration number and VAT or tax ID where applicable. You receive a business invoice with those details, and you can optionally show a discreet brand attribution beside your pixels.

Question 16

Is a business purchase tax deductible?

Accepted Answer

We cannot tell you that. A business invoice is provided, and your purchase may qualify as an advertising or sponsorship expense depending on your local tax rules. Tax treatment varies by country and buyer, so please consult your accountant or tax adviser.
